Hi! I’m Josh Guerrero, a versatile traveler and adventurer making the most of my time on this wonderful planet. Traveling was not something that I imagined doing much of when I was younger. While growing up in a small town in Michigan, the world seemed small and simple to me. It wasn’t until college when I had first started traveling more seriously, with various road trips around the United States. Shortly before graduating is when I had my first international travel experience, a two-week study abroad to Japan. It was an absolutely amazing experience, with beautiful cities and landscapes, a wonderful culture, and loads of delicious food! After that I was completely hooked, and it left me with a burning desire to see more of the world ever since.
Since then I’ve done two stints as an expatriate. I lived in The Gambia, West Africa for two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer, and one year in England as a graduate student. All while trying to travel and experience as much as I can along the way. For me, travel memories and stories are more meaningful than any material possession. And I’ve been thrilled to have had some great adventures so far. I’ve done shipwreck diving in Lake Superior, cycled 300 miles across The Gambia, floated on top of the salty water of the Dead Sea, and rode camels in the Sahara desert, just to name a few. Oh, and there was also that time that I ate a ram’s testicles, that was interesting!
Now I wish to share my stories with all of you! It is my hope that with this blog I can provide you with great and entertaining stories to help you find inspiration; whether you’re looking to travel, live abroad, or pursue other meaningful things in your life. I will also be sharing the things that I’ve learned along the way, even from my misadventures, to provide you with tips and ideas to help make your future travels safer and less stressful. Or at the very least, maybe provide you with a good laugh if you need one.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I look forward to sharing my stories with you. I hope you enjoy them!
P.S. If you’d like to learn more about me, I did write a post about myself: 10 Random (But Cool) Facts About Me.
